The Royal Liverpool University Hospital Renal Unit hosted a residency with artist Mark Storor working with adults receiving haemo dialysis to explore their experiences and those of their families. The Liverpool performance included some core elements of the London performance reimagined and revisioned with new content and installations informed by the hospital residency and developed with artists, performers and children from Matthew Arnold Primary School.
An 80 minute promenade performance took place twice daily from November 16th – 28th. The performance incorporated art work, performance installation, film and sound and was performed by professional actors and participants. This was a Unity Theatre off-site production.
A Symposium and a framework of discussion events was built around For the Best to enable health professionals, carers, school children, arts and cultural professionals and families to explore issues raised.
